If you want your deck to retain its beauty, a periodic deck cleaning is a
requirement for wood decks or composite decks. Periodic cleaning is preventative
maintenance. Decks fade, crack, split and warp due to constant exposure to UV
rays and rain. Cleaning decks prolongs the decks life expectancy when it starts to
look old and dirty.
Never use more than 1,500 pounds per square inch (PSI) to wash your
deck surface. This amount of pressure can still damage soft wood or leave lap
marks on composite decking, so you have to be very careful. The pressure

Wood decks will furr under too much, requiring them to be sanded. After being
cleaned, wood decks also need to be sealed. A properly maintained deck not
