Roof Cleaning FAQ
Question: What are those black streaks on my roof?
Answer: They are a species of
bacteria called
Gloeocapsa Magma
Question: How did the Gloeocapsa Magma get on my roof?
Answer: Bacteria spreads via airborne spores
from one infected roof to another. Roof Cleaning with our system removes 100%
of this bacteria.
Question: Is this type of bacteria harmful to my roof?
Answer: Yes. The bacteria feeds on the
limestone filler used in compostition shingles causing shingle granule loss
which reduces the life of your roof. On concrete & tile roofs it deteriorates
the substrate.
Question: How does the Gloeocapsa Magma grow?
Answer: Bacteria requires moisture and warm
temperatures to grow. Dew is the primary source of moisture and your roof the source
of food.
Question: Will it raise my electric bill?
Answer: Yes. The black color of the bacteria
prevents the roof from reflecting the radiant heat from the sun. This
raises our attic temperature.
Question: How much does it cost to have my roof cleaned?
Answer: Roof Stain Removal will pay for itself
with in the 5 year warranty period. It does so by making the roof last longer
and reduced utility bills. It also increases the value of your home by making it
look more attractive and removes the unhealthy bacteria from your environment.
